Data Deletion Instructions

SMIP provides multiple ways to permanently delete all data associated with your account.
Method 1 — Revoke access via Instagram Settings
This immediately stops SMIP from accessing your Instagram data:
- Open the Instagram app
- Go to Settings and privacy
- Tap Apps and websites
- Find SMIP in the Active list
- Tap Remove → confirm
⚠️ This revokes future access but does not delete historical data already stored by SMIP. Use Method 2 or 3 to delete stored data.
Method 2 — Submit a Deletion Request by Email
Send an email to stepstepan2@gmail.com with:
- Subject line:
Data Deletion Request - Your Instagram username
- Email address associated with your SMIP account
What happens after your request:

Method 3 — Delete via SMIP Account Settings
- Log in to smip.site
- Go to Settings → Account
- Click "Delete my account and all data"
- Confirm deletion
What Gets Deleted

| Analytics history and reports | Within 14 days |
| Account profile information | Within 14 days |
| Dashboard data and saved filters | Within 14 days |
| Server logs containing your data | Within 30 days |
| Backup copies | Within 30 days |
What We Are Unable to Delete
| Data | Reason |
|---|---|
| Anonymized aggregate statistics | No personal data contained; cannot be linked to you |
| Data required by law | Legal obligation (e.g. tax records, compliance logs) |
When We Are Obligated to Delete
We delete your data without undue delay in any of these cases:
- You submit a deletion request
- You delete your SMIP account
- Your data is no longer necessary to provide the Service
- Deletion is requested by Meta or required by applicable law
Confirmation
After deletion is complete, you will receive an email confirmation. If you do not receive confirmation within 30 days, contact us at stepstepan2@gmail.com.
